What’s included in a standard will?
You can appoint executors, guardians for children and say who you want to inherit your estate. You can include basic funeral wishes and say who you would like to look after your pets. Up to three specific gifts of personal items or cash sums are included in a standard will.
If you wish to include trusts, make additional or complex gifts, or the nature of your circumstances (including business ownership or foreign assets) requires extra advice, additional costs will be discussed with you on a no-obligation basis.
You can include trusts in your will to have greater control over inheritance and/or protection from third parties. The fees below are in addition to our standard will prices. Trusts can vary in complexity. These fees are an indication of our typical prices.
|Children’s Trust (to include an inheritance age beyond 18 e.g. 21 or 25)||£75|
|Protective Property Trust||£350|
|Discretionary Trust / Disabled Persons Trust including letter of wishes||£450|
|Flexible Life Interest Trust including letter of wishes||£450|
|Business Property Relief Trust including letter of wishes||£450|
Wills with multiple trusts are quoted on a bespoke basis
Lasting Power of Attorney
Lasting Power of Attorney is as important as making a will. It gives people you trust the legal powers to help you if you lose mental capacity through accident or illness. A much less stressful (and cheaper) alternative to the Court of Protection.
We will assist you with signing the documents and checking these before registering with the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG). Our fees do not include the registration fee of £82 per document that is charged by the Office of the Public Guardian.
|Lasting Power of Attorney (Property & Finance or Health & Welfare)||£300|
|Lasting Power of Attorney (Property & Finance and Health & Welfare)||£450|
|Lasting Power of Attorney (Property & Finance x 2 and Health & Welfare x 2 for a couple)||£700|
You can transfer assets to a trust (property, investments, cash).
|Fees for a lifetime trust are bespoke depending on the value and nature of assets involved.||From £3000|
